Military intelligence personnel and customs police have arrested several former navy officers for attempting to steal navy equipment from the naval base at Kaliningrad. Over a 100 cargo containers of stolen goods were seized. 

In Chechenya, it appears that most of the Chechen rebels who took refuge in the Georgian Pankisi Gorge, have moved back into Chechnya to avoid the sweeps by Georgian troops and police.  Russia has demanded that Georgia turn over any Chechen rebels it has arrested in the Pankisi Gorge, but Georgia has so far refused.
