The US has renewed its agreement (signed in 1993) for defense cooperation with Ukraine. The agreement provides for US assistance in establishing: Interoperability with NATO forces improved professionalism in Ukrainian military forces defining civil-military affairs restructuring Ukrainian forces to meet current needs and budgets exchanges of military technology.--Stephen V Cole
