Palestinian terrorist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad publicly agreed to abide by the ceasefire with Israel. In the past, such agreements were easily ended by any real, or imagined, Israeli moves. The Palestinian terrorists are believed to be submitting to Palestinian public opinion about the dire economic situation in the Palestinian territories. Palestinians want some relief from the poverty the terror campaign against Israel has brought them.
