Several thousand Palestinian police were deployed in northern Gaza, in areas where terrorists have launched mortar and rocket attacks against Israeli targets. Officially, the police are not to use force against any terrorists they catch trying to attack Israelis. But off the record, the police say they are supposed to use force, if need be, to stop any attacks. The terrorist groups say they are considering a cease fire, but the more radical terrorists want to part of any cease fire.
