The government of West Bengal, India, is forming a special police unit of fifty carefully selected police men to go after Maoist rebels in the area. The special operations group (SOG) would get better weapons and equipment to find and destroy the rebels jungle camps. The Maoists have become more aggressive in their attacks on police and politicians.
