The biggest problem with the International Space Station is its slow and unreliable communications system. Voice communications are not perfect, and data-transfer is slow. The new Destiny Laboratory Module added during February should fix this problem, providing two high-rate S-band channels that work through the Tracking & Data Relay Satellite System.--Stephen V Cole
